"California's Forgotten Highways"
The California Legislature decommissioned most of the state’s U.S. highways in July of 1964. A few held on for a few more years while some Interstate Highways were being completed but even they are quickly becoming faint memories. This book will show what these historic roadways look like today – some are still in full bloom while others are quietly fading away. Some work on the book is already done but much remains. It will be available for purchase in late 2010.
